Cracking The PHILLIPS-BRAVES NLDS DATES, PITCHERS AND NOTES Code

The Phillies left for Atlanta after sending the Cardinals to victory in two intense road games in the space of 36 hours.

The Phils ended the regular season on an 11-game road trip, so they haven't been home since September 25, more than two weeks ago.

But by winning their wild-card series in St. Louis, the Phillies are guaranteed to play at least one playoff game at home at Citizens Bank Park.

NLDS is the best series out of five. Games 1 and 2 will be in Atlanta and Game 3 will be in Philadelphia. If necessary, Game 4 will be in Philadelphia and Game 5 will be in Atlanta.

The Phillies will start Lefty Ranger Suarez in Game 1.

Jack Wheeler could start Game 2 on a normal rest and Aaron Nola could start Game 3 on an extra day of rest, though nothing has been officially announced.

"I think we have the opening pitching, down the stretch he threw the ball really well," Bryce Harper said on the field after the Phillies advanced.

"We've got Ranger in Game 1 and we're excited. We've got a great group of guys. We're excited to move forward with this and get to the next round."
